Reverse transcription-PCR analysis of IL-15 and IL-15Rα mRNA from spleens or splenic cells of B6 mice infected with KIM5 (K) or YopM− (M) Y. pestis. Whole spleen tissue or spleen cells obtained with the use of magnetic beads in the experiments illustrated in Fig. 7 were analyzed for net abundance of mRNA for IL-15 and IL-15Rα.
