Reverse transcription-PCR analysis of IL-15 and IL-15Rα mRNA from spleens or splenic cells of B6 mice infected with KIM5 (K) or YopM (M) Y. pestis. Whole spleen tissue or spleen cells obtained with the use of magnetic beads in the experiments illustrated in Fig. 7 were analyzed for net abundance of mRNA for IL-15 and IL-15Rα. (A) mRNA from whole spleen tissue. (B) mRNA from isolated macrophages. (C) mRNA from isolated NK cells. NI designates data from noninfected mice.
