Growth-inhibitory effects of tyrosol on cells of P. aeruginosa (isolate 1). Cells were grown in MH broth medium containing tyrosol at 0, 1.25, 2.5, 5, 10, 20, 40, and 80 μM. Cell growth was expressed either as % growth after relating to the untreated cultures (at OD600 nm) or as number of cells (CFU) counted after 24 h cultivation on MH agar. Error bars represent the standard deviation from three independent experiments.
