Temporal evolution of flexural rigidity EI(t) (top) and necessary maximum post force for the conditioning cycle (bottom). As more ECM is deposited near the edges of the construct, its flexural rigidity increases in a nonlinear fashion. As expected, a higher force is necessary to perform the same mechanical conditioning cycle as the TE construct growths.
