Figure 1. Cell viability evaluated by 3-(4,5-dimethylthiazol-2-yl)-2,5-diphenyl-2H-tetrazolium bromide assay. Cells were treated with single-walled carbon nanotubes (SWCNT; A), HY-functionalized SWCNT (HY-SWCNT B), or sodium hyaluronate (HY; C). A high concentration of HY (1 mg/mL) significantly reduced the viability of primary osteoblasts. *P<0.05 compared to control and other concentrations of HY (one-way ANOVA followed by Newman-Keuls post-hoc test).
