Subjective alcohol problem severity was rated on a 5-point scale (Very Major, Major, Minor, Very Minor, Not a Problem). AUDIT = Alcohol Use Disorders Identification Test (scores range from 0 to 40; a score of ≥8 is suggestive of an alcohol problem; Allen, Fertig, Litten, Sillanaukee, & Anton, 1997).
