OSA-induced hypertension requires a high fat diet. A, Sham and OSA rats fed a normal chow diet had no difference in systolic blood pressures (n=4 per group). B, On high fat diet OSA rats exhibited significantly higher systolic blood pressure, as compared to sham rats, after 7 and 14 days of OSA (n=10-13 per group).
