Differences in the probabilities related to the Val ϕ/ψ distributions are given for side chains in the (A) t, (B) g−, and (C) g+ rotameric states. Well-populated regions are highlighted, and labeled and representative structures are displayed on the right. The plots range from a 0% to 100% backbone-dependent probability on a logarithmic scale, and are colored by the change in magnitude of the number of instances when compared with the backbone-independent library; e.g., pink represents a dependent probability of 0% instances of side-chain conformations. The BBDEP rotamer preferences of other residues across ϕ/ψ bins are shown in Figures S1 and S2.
