GM-CSF augmented IgG1 production, but not IgG2c nor IFN-γ production. hMR-Tg mice were injected twice i.p. with 1 µg of B11-hCGβ on days 3 and 17, and also received 2 µg of GM-CSF or saline on days 1–4 and 15–18. (a) Anti-hCGβ titers in plasma and (b) hCGβ-specific IFN-γ-ELISPOT counts from spleens were assessed on day 24. Student's t-test: **P<0.01 compared between B11-hCGβ with or without GM-CSF. The results were reproduced in three independent experiments. hCGβ, human chorionic gonadotropin beta chain; i.p., intraperitoneally; hMR-Tg, human mannose receptor transgenic.
