Effect of 4-methoxyphenethylamine hydrochloride (amine hydrochloride 1) on collagen accumulation induced by bleomycin. Masson's trichrome staining was performed on the lung tissues collected on day 28 after the administration of bleomycin. All photomicrographs were taken at ×100 magnification using a microscope. Collagen deposition was stained in blue. Normal (Nor) and control (Con) groups received distilled water as treatment. Rats in the prednisone group (Pred) were treated with prednisone at 5 mg/kg/day. Rats in groups 1–5, 1–10 and 1–20 were treated with amine hydrochloride 1 at doses of 5, 10 and 20 mg/kg/day, respectively.
