Western blot analysis of the effect of lovastatin on HIF-1α expression in MDA-MB-231 cells. Whole cell lysates from MDA-MB-231 cells treated with lovastatin or vehicle under hypoxia for 24 h were separated by SDS-PAGE and electro-blotted to PVDF membranes, which were probed with an antibody to human HIF-1α or Histone H3. Numbers beneath the HIF-1α blot represent signal density quantification after normalization to the Histone H3 signal.
