Symptom burden throughout ASCT course for (a) all patients (n = 74) and (b) the subset of patients with amyloidosis (n = 20). Curves represent mean composite severity scores of the five most-severe symptoms reported. As we have seen in previous studies, symptoms peaked in severity at WBC nadir. However, there were no significant differences between the AUCs of severity scores over the first 7 days (P = 0.819 for all patients and P = 0.685 for amyloid patients) or over the first 28 days (P = 0.863 for all patients and P = 0.609 for amyloid patients) during recovery after ASCT.
