A172 cells transfected with EV or IκBα were treated for 9 hours with 2 μM BV6. Gene expression profiling was performed using Illumina Whole-Genome Expression Beadchips Human HT12v4. Expression data were ranked according to their fold upregulation comparing EV transfected cells with and without BV6 treatment. Genes showing upregulation in IκBα-SR transfected cells (with and without BV6 treatment) served as background expression and were excluded from the analysis (P < 1.25 × 10− 6). Top five BV6-induced genes are shown. Fold increase in mRNA levels is shown with mean and SD of three independent experiments. VCAM1, vascular cell adhesion molecule; BIRC3, baculoviral IAP repeat containing 3, also called cIAP2; CCL5, chemokine (C-C motif) ligand 5; IRAK2, interleukin-1 receptor-associated kinase 2.
