Growth of a cdaA cdaR double mutant. (A) Effect of a ΔcdaR deletion on growth of CdaA-depleted L. monocytogenes cells. Strain LMJR65 (ΔcdaR IcdaA) was cultivated in BHI broth, containing 1 mM IPTG where indicated, at 37°C, and optical density was recorded. Strains LMJR45 (ΔcdaR) and LMJR46 (IcdaA) were included for comparison. (B) Growth of the same set of strains under identical conditions at 42°C.
