Processing of the CSP-28 peptide by SepM and its homologs. The CSP-28 peptide was synthesized and subjected to SepM-mediated processing. The assays were done using in vivo complementation of the ΔsepM ΔcomC/pIBN35 strain with SepM homologs from various streptococci. A concentration of 400 nM CSP was used in each assay.
