Current cigarette smokers were defined as having smoked 100 or more cigarettes in their lifetime and currently smoking cigarettes on some or all days. Obesity was established for respondents who had a body mass index (weight in kilograms divided by the square of height in meters) of 30 kg/m2 or higher. CDC defines heavy drinking as consuming more than 1 drink per day on average in the last month for women and consuming more than 2 drinks per day on average in the last month for men. CDC defines binge drinking as consuming 4 or more drinks during 1 occasion in the last month for women and consuming 5 or more drinks during 1 occasion in the last month for men.
