(Holo-Pleistocene, Panama); C, G. sikesi sp. nov. (late Miocene, Florida, USA); D, G. toulai (late Miocene, Panama). All specimens were scaled to the same size. Five specimens were randomly selected for A–C. For G. toulai from the Gatun Formation only four specimens were available (NHMW 1933/0018/0159, NHMW 1933/0018/0160, UF 203348 and BMNPH PI IC 395). Possible tubercles directly above the notch above the fixed finger were not included.
