(A) Purified mtHMG proteins were visualized by Coomassie staining of gels after their separation by 12% SDS-PAGE. (B) The proteins (at indicated concentrations) were incubated with 3 nM of 15 bp, 25 bp or 50 bp radioactively labelled dsDNA substrates and the samples were separated in polyacrylamide gels as described in Materials and methods.
