Arabidopsis MiMsp40 expression homozygous T3 lines accelerated the root growth (A) and the numbers of knots/eggs (B) compared to WT lines, whereas the RNAi lines developed relatively fewer knots (C) and eggs (D) compared to the WT line. The parasitic females laid fewer eggs. Each bar value represents the mean ± SD of n > 25. “*” or “**” indicates significant differences based on Student’s t-test (P < 0.05 or P < 0.01).
