The HK-2 cells were exposed to various concentrations of TSA (0.1, 0.5 and 1.0 μmol/L) for 72 h and the expression of miR-199b-5p was then quantified by real-time PCR (A). The HK-2 cells were incubated with various concentrations of glucose (5 mmol/L or 20 mmol/L) and treated with atrasentan. DNA-H3 and DNA-H4 complex levels were detected by a ChIP assay (C,D). *P < 0.05 versus the cells exposed to 0 μmol/L TSA or 5 mmol/L glucose; #P < 0.05 versus the cells exposed to 20 mmol/L glucose and solvent.
