In (A), several discharged cnidae sit among RBC, showing that the product did not prevent discharge but did protect against the discharged venom’s hemolytic effects, whereas in (B), there are no RBC surrounding the cnidae, suggesting the venom extruded lysed all cells in the vicinity.
