(A) ZnO-NSts (NPls, NSs, NRs, NFs) induced activation of caspase 3/7 in T98G cell line. Apoptosis was assessed by measuring active caspase-3/7 using the Promega Caspase-3/7 assay kit and relative luminescence units were abbreviated as RLU in y-axis. (B) Cell viability was assessed using MTT assay in presence of pan-caspase inhibitor (100 μM, Z-vad FMK) after 24 hr followed with ZnO NRs exposure. (C) mRNA expression of various apoptosis related genes were analyzed using real time PCR. Experiments were performed in triplicate. Error bars represent the ± SD (n = 3). Student’s t-test was performed, *p < 0.05, ^δp < 0.01, and ^#p < 0.001.
