I–V: Marker, control group, 2 weeks, 4 weeks and 6 weeks after injury in the electroacupuncture group, respectively. Total RNA, β-actin and GDNF mRNA expression was normal in the control group, and no apparent degradation was found. GDNF mRNA expression increased over time in the electroacupuncture group. GDNF: Glial cell line-derived neurotrophic factor.
