Candesartan and telmisartan treatment improve recovery of cerebral blood flow. Cerebral blood flow was decreased in the injured cerebral cortex 2 min after CCI injury. Candesartan (0.1 mg/kg) administered 6 h after injury significantly ameliorated the CCI-induced decrease in cerebral blood flow at 1 and 3 days post-injury and telmisartan (1 mg/kg) at 3 days post-injury compared with vehicle-treated mice. Data were expressed as a per cent of baseline values.
