Fig. 3 — Forest plot of comparison of treatment with MRAs versus without MRAs on cardiovascular mortality or heart failure hospitalization. Two studies evaluated the effect of MRAs on CV mortality or HF hospitalization. Events occurred in 281 of the 903 participants treated with MRAs (31.1 %) compared with 288 of 706 (40.8 %) in the control group. Because significant heterogeneities were detected, we used a random-effect model to synthesize the data on the basis of the large population. These results did not reach statistical significance
