Effects of a pan-caspase inhibitor (Z-VAD-fmk) and c-Jun N-terminal kinase inhibitor (SP600125) on the survival of 661W cells treated with 30 mM sodium formate, as determined using a (3-(4,5-Dimethylthiazol-2-yl)-2,5-Diphenyltetrazolium Bromide assay. The 661W cells were cultured in 30 mM sodium formate for 24 h in the presence or absence of the inhibitors. The data show the relative proportions of viable cells (%). The results are expressed as the mean ± standard deviation of three independent experiments (^*P<0.05; ^**P<0.01, sodium formate-treated cells, vs. the control).
