Myc knockdown attenuates IL-1β-induced apoptosis in INS-1 cells. INS-1 cells were transfected with siRNA directed against Myc, a scrambled siRNA control (NS) or vehicle (INS-1) for 16 h. Thereafter, cells were exposed to 150 pg/mL IL-1β (closed bars) or vehicle (open bars) for 24 h. (a) Total Myc protein levels and (b) cleaved caspase 3 were analyzed by immunoblotting.
