(A) Primary bone marrow derived macrophages (BMDM) isolated from wild-type (WT) and S100A9 knockout (KO) mice were infected with vesicular stomatitis virus (VSV). The medium supernatant from VSV infected cells was collected to assess levels of IL-12 (p70) by ELISA. (B) WT and S100A9 KO BMDM were treated with polyIC for 8h and 12h. At each time-point, medium supernatant was collected to assess levels of mouse IL-12 (p70) by ELISA. (C) WT and S100A9 KO BMDM were treated with either CpG DNA (CpG) or imiquimod. After treatment, medium supernatant was collected to assess levels of mouse IL-12 (p70) by ELISA. The values represent the mean ± standard deviation from three independent experiments performed in triplicate. *p <0.05 using a Student’s t test.
