A. Expression of apoptosis regulatory proteins related extrinsic pathway was determined by Western blot analysis with antibodies against Fas, DR3, DR4, DR5, FasL, TWEAK, TRAIL and β-actin (internal control). B. Intrinsic pathway was determined by Western blot analysis with antibodies against cleaved capase-3, cleaved caspase-8, Bax, Bcl-2 and β-actin (internal control). Each band is representative for three experiments. C. Effect of DRs on the inhibitory effect of (E)-4-(3-(3,5-dimethoxyphenyl)allyl)-2-methoxyphenol in colon cancer cells. Relative cell survival rate was determined by MTT assay. D. Cytosolic proteins were used to determine expression of IκB, p-IκBα and β-actin (internal control) and nuclear proteins were used to determine expression of STAT3, p-STAT3, p50, p65 and Histone H1 (internal control) in colon cancer cells.
