The numbers of type I boutons were determined following staining with Anti-Discs large (dlg) and anti-Horseradish peroxidase (HRP) antibodies. Dlg and HRP positive boutons were counted from muscles 6 and 7 in segments A2 and A3. Counts were analyzed by ACT-1 software (Nikon Digital Eclipse DXM 1200) and p values were determined by Student’s two-tailed t-test (Prism). When compared to CS, significant decreases in type-I bouton number were observed in the following alleles : rgγ1, rgγ5, rgγ6, rgγ7, rgγ8, rgγ9, rgγ11 (rgγ9, p<0.0001****, n=10; rgγ1, p<0.0001****, n=10; rgγ6, p<0.001***, n=11; rgγ5, p<0.01**, n=8; rgγ8, p<0.01**, n=11; rgγ11, p<0.01**, n=7; rgγ7, p<0.05*, n=15).
