Untreated animals reached the experimental endpoint earlier than animals treated with bacteriophage preparation phiCDHM1-phiCDHM2-phiCDHM5-phiCDHM6. Treated animals received 14 doses of bacteriophage preparations every 8 h from the point of challenge to the clinical endpoint. A statistically significant difference in the time to the experimental endpoint (P = 0.0007) was determined using group sizes of six animals each.
