Mitochondrial ROS were detected by MitoTracker Red CM-H₂XRos dye following treatment with HR (hypoxia 90 min, reoxygenation and staining 30 min) (a) or H₂O₂ (1 mM, 30 min) (b). Overexpression of p66Shc was confirmed by western blotting (c). Each experiment was repeated at least three times. Statistical analysis was performed using ANOVA (**p < 0.01, ***p < 0.001).
