Schematic representation of the steps of the bladder neck reconstruction using deep stitch technique: A) Bladder neck view after formation of classic ‘tennis racket’; B) Deep stitch is made dorsally to bladder orifice through all layers of the bladder wall; C) Tightening of the suture results in the tissue shift, which represents a formation of proximal passive closure mechanism (compression of the bladder neck orifice with surrounding tissues without reducing the diameter). A bougie (*) should be introduced into the bladder neck to prevent substantial shrinkage of the tissues during the tightening of the suture.
