Serum brain derived neurotrophic factor (BDNF) levels during the first week post-injury were investigated for predictive associations with memory impairment at 6 and 12 months post-injury. At 6 months (A), acute serum BDNF levels predicted performance on memory composite (r=0.53, p=0.005).
