Increased interleukin-22 mRNA expression in small intestine in the early stage of acute pancreatitis. IL-22 mRNA levels in the tissues of pancreas, small intestine and spleen at 2 h after the induction of cerulein-AP were analyzed by real-time RT-PCR. In contrast to the pancreas and spleen, only the small intestine has increased IL-22 mRNA expression in the AP mice compared to the control mice. at-test, P < 0.05.
