(a) For pure acetone, the resulting surface contains good coverage of nanostructures atop micron-sized mounds. (b) For the actone–NP mixture, the nanostructures are limited to discrete micron-sized spherulites due to the nanoparticle aggregates acting as nucleation sites for the polycarbonate crystallization.
