Morphology of the patients' sperm. (A) Sperm samples were spread over a slide and dried at RT, fixed in ether/ethanol 1:1 for Harris–Schorr staining. Sperm were then scored according to WHO's laboratory manual for examination and processing of human semen (5th edition). Asterisk indicates fully normal spermatozoa. A1–A2 correspond to enlargement of the black squares in (A), in order to show the morphology of normal sperm. (BE) Morphology of acrosome stained with anti-acrosin antibody (B) Negative control experiment with the addition of secondary antibody without primary antibody.
