Immunized C57BL/6 mice received escalating doses of 10⁸, 5 × 10⁸, 10⁹, and 5 × 10⁹ CFUs irradiated ATCC27853 cells intra-nasally every week, and were challenged by 1 × 10⁷ CFUs PAO-6 cells. Main organs were collected and tested for bacteria number during the 7 days post challenge (ANOVA, n = 5, *p < 0.05, **p < 0.01 when compared with PAO-6 number at 24 hours).
