Human primary neurons were cultured from fetal brain tissue to about 70% confluency in neuronal media for 14 days and a scratch assay was performed, in which cells were scratched off to simulate injury conditions. Treatment of cells was initiated immediately: Control – no treatment, TNF-α – 100ng/mL. Neurite outgrowth was observed, and TNF-α treatment supported longer and more complex process development.
