One-dimensional spontaneous and heat-induced ultra-weak photon emission were measured from Chlamydomonas cells using low-noise PMT. In (A) ultra-weak photon emission was measured in spontaneous and in heated Chlamydomonas cells at 40 °C for 0, 10, 20 and 30 min. In (B) mean photon emission intensity were measured in non-heated and heated Chlamydomonas cells. Heat treatment was done at 40 °C for 0, 10, 20 and 30 min. The presented data are expressed as the mean value and the standard deviation of at least three measurements (mean ± SD, n = 3).
