CreWhirly is the zygote-specific cp nucleoid protein. Indirect immunofluorescence microscopy using a specific antibody in a vegetative or zygotic cell. Nuclear (N) and cpDNA were stained with DAPI. The CreCNS protein was detected as green signals using an anti-CreWhirly primary antibody and Alexa488-conjugated secondary antibody. Arrows indicate a cp nucleoid. Arrowheads indicate the puncta of extra-nucleoid Whirly.
