Effects of AFP on distant metastasis of HCC cells. (A) HLE cells were transfected with pcDNA3.1‐afp vectors; (B) Bel 7402 cells were transfected with AFP‐siRNA vectors. The cells (2 × 105) were implanted into SCID mice for 14 days; CdTe/Cds quantum dots of biolabelled AFP were injected into the lateral tail veins of the mice, then Xenogen VISI Lumina II instrument was used to observe location of HCC cells. These images were a representation of six independent experiments.
