Uterine mesometrial compartment and placental mTOR gene activation during hypoxia in the rat. mTOR, p70, 4EBP1, Ppp2r2b, and Prkag3 genes were significantly induced (< 0.05) in the uterine mesometrial compartment of the hypoxia‐treated animals when compared to controls (A; * 0.05). In the placenta, hypoxia induced a significant increase (< 0.05) in mTOR, Irs1, Pik3r1, Ppp2r2b, Prkag3, Rps6ka2, and VEGF‐C and a significant decrease (P < 0.05) in Prkag2 in the treated animals when compared to controls (B; * 0.05).
