Many HyperKPP muscles developed large amount of unstimulated force. As shown in Figure 8, HyperKPP muscles often generated unstimulated force in the absence of stimulation when stretched or when they elicited a contracture. Large increases in unstimulated force could occur at any time during an experiment. Here, we report the mean and individual values for the largest unstimulated force measured during the course of an entire experiment.
