Note that whereas A depicts heading bias, B depicts heading error. Positive bias indicates a heading error in the direction of the object's FoE, and a negative bias indicates a heading error in the direction away from the object's FoE. The absolute values in B correspond to errors to either side of the heading direction. Error bars indicate ±SE. The mean standard deviation (i.e., variability) across subjects is plotted in C.
