Relationship between BOLD response and task performance.

A) In controls, BOLD response during 2back was significantly positively correlated with 2back task accuracy in right anterior insula (Freeman et al., 2011), bilateral putamen (Put), left caudate (Caud), and right premotor cortex/dorsolateral prefrontal cortex (PMC/DLPFC); p < 0.05 cluster-corrected. There were no significant clusters in fibromyalgia patients. B) The positive correlation between BOLD response and task performance was significantly stronger in controls vs. patients in the right anterior insula (Freeman et al., 2011); p < 0.05 cluster-corrected.
