Quantitation of yeast cytosine deaminase (yCD) DNA, RNA, or protein in Toca 511-infected tumors. DNA (A), RNA (B), and protein (C) were all extracted from the same 2 × 106 cells and quantitated with a yCD-specific qPCR, RT-qPCR, or Western blot respectively. DNA and RNA measurements were converted to absolute values using exogenous Toca 511 standard curves, as described in the Materials and Methods. Protein results were normalized and quantitated using densitometry coupled with a yCD protein standard as described in the Materials and Methods. This figure is a representative experiment of two or more individual experiments.
