Calculations for (B–D) do not include timed-out trials. (A) Timeout rate is calculated as the percentage of the 28 trials that were not completed within 15 s. (B) Selection time is calculated as the elapsed time between when the trial started and when the correct grasp was selected. (C) Completion time is calculated as the elapsed time between when the correct grasp was selected and when the grasp was fully closed. (D) Selection attempts are the number of times a grasp was selected. Every time the hand transitioned from fully-open to partially-closed, this counter was incremented.
