Partition coefficients of everolimus (blue), paclitaxel (red) and sirolimus (green) in atherosclerotic human aorta. Partition coefficient was greatest in the medial layer (left) where lipid content was lowest, whilst it was lowest in the intimal layer (right) where lipid content was most abundant.
