(a–c) Levels of full-length APP were significantly decreased and levels of 4 kDa Aβ were increased in the hippocampus of 11-month old Tg2676 HF/C mice compared to C/C mice. (d,e) Levels of APP-CTFβ were also significantly decreased in the brains of HF/C mice (d, e) while APP-CTFα levels were unaltered between diet groups. (g–j) An increase in nicastrin expression, which bordered statistical significance (p = 0.05), was also noted in HF/C animals (g–i).
