NPCs were electroporated with the indicated plasmids and the nuclei were counterstained with DAPI. White outlines indicate GFP+ cells and red outlines indicate cells have that borderline expression of GFP and considered GFP-negative. White arrow indicates a GFP-negative cell. Quantification of the ratio of GFP-positive cells over total DAPI counterstained cells show the transfection efficiency to be consistent between the miR-128 overexpression construct and its corresponding control. More than 1500 GFP-positive cells were counted for each condition. At least three sets of independent experiments were performed. The values represent the means ± s.d. (n=3). Student’s t-test, differences were considered significant at ***P<0.001.
